Description: ATQ. 1910’s ,lot of two (2) ,Vodrey China advertising plates for Farmers National Bank , both of East Liverpool, Ohio. Plates represent : - Caesar and his Gladiators - Friendship in Ancient Rome Vodrey China started in 1857 and suspended operations in 1928. It’s partnership predecessor was considered the first commercial pottery west of the Alleghenies. farmers Bank Company (FBC on shied in Friendship) was chartered in 1904. It is the oldest independently owned financial institution in Meigs County, Ohio. The plates continue the yellow ware tradition of Vodrey. Scalloped rim with gold leaf accents. Measurements: 8” in diameter. Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks, buffs or repairs. Flaws: some discoloration due to sun exposure over 100+ years. Please see attached photos for more details.
