Description: Atq McKee & Brothers Cake Stand Jewel OMN Diagonal Band 1882 EAPG UV Glow This is a Clear McKee & Brothers Cake Stand in the Jewel (OMN) Pattern. This Pattern is sometimes called Diagonal Band or Diagonal Block and Fan. It was introduced in 1882 making the Cake Stand Antique. We did place it under a 365-wavelength black light and it does have a Green Manganese Glow. Manganese was used as a clarifying agent in some EAPG produced prior to 1915. Some of my pictures show this Green Manganese Glow. The Cake Stand is about 140 years old and is in Excellent Condition. (Mold seams, straw marks and bubbles are attributed to the EAPG manufacturing process and are not considered flaws.) The Cake Stand measures about 9” in Diameter and 6.5” tall.
