History The Defence Imagery and Geospatial Organisation (DIGO) was created on 28 November 1982, by amalgamating the Canberra-based Australian Imagery Organisation and Directorate of Strategic Military Geographic Information, and the Bendigo-based Defence Topographic Agency (now called the Geospatial Analysis Centre). DIGO was part of the Australian Department of Defence.
