Description: Stunning...Stunning...and more Stunning. This is an Authentic, Vintage 1970s, Canadian Arctic Eskimo Parka. Handmade in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Canada(200km North of the Arctic Circle!). Made by highly skilled Native craftsmen(women) at the Inuvik Sewing Centre(1960s-1980s). A beautiful matching overcoat, that has the distinctive "Delta Braid" trademark, with the matching, Pure Virgin Wool UnderCoat with an Authentic Fur Collar. This is a mens Sz 44(large), but could be a unisex winter coat. Truly unique & rare to find such a coat with the matching overcoat, and in excellent condition! This parka was bought new in Inuvik, in the 1970s, worn only a few times, and then kept safely away all these years in a cedar chest! There are no holes/rips/tears...and it is clean..clean...and more clean. I believe that the initials on the inside label are from the craftsmen that worked on the coat. It is from a smoke free environment. Please request specific measurements for sizing, if needed. Check out the Canadian Museum of History site for a similar coat...which does not have the matching overcoat!! This is a one of a kind, rare piece of Canadian history, as well as a high quality, handmade, extremely warm, winter parka/coat. Feel free to ask for more info or photos as we have a strict no return policy. Thank you. Have a great day.
