B-20 Vintage 1968 Custom Tailored Men's Black Suit Orlon Acrylic Mad Men Beatles

Description: This is a very nice authentic 1968 custom tailored suit; it was a relative's high school graduation suit, so I am accurate about the date. I don't normally sell clothing, but felt this vintage suit deserved to live another life. I have done my best to provide accurate measurements. The young man who wore this suit was tall and thin, but it appeared the tailor left some room for growth as the waist seams and hem area have quite a bit of extra material. I'm estimating the size as Small. Some of the photos look blue or grey, but the suit is actually a very nice black color. Pants: There is a 1.5" outer cuff; the cuff area inside the pants is about 2 inches. The material used to make the pockets, zipper area, etc. is very sturdy. The waist measures out at 29". There are two back pockets, the left one having a button. These pockets measure 5.5" deep and 6.5" wide. The waistband is about 2" wide; there are 2 belt loops in the front and 4 belt loops in the back. There is an extra belt loop sewn inside in an area of extra material near the back seam. The side seam is 43" and the inseam is 32", with the bottom of the pant leg at the cuff being 8" wide. Jacket: The labels read as follows: Label 1 - This fabric contains Orlon Acrylic, Use Light Steam and Pressure in Pressing. Label 2 - Challenge Clothes, Tailored for Jurgens & Holtvluwer, 1506-14 Grandville Ave, Grand Rapids 9, MICH. I cleaned the suit with a damp cloth and a fabric roller. I did not have it dry cleaned. The purchaser will probably want to have it cleaned and pressed. Jacket, cont: There is a loop on the top inside for hanging on a hook. There are two lower outer front pockets; the right pocket has a smaller pocket inside of it; they are about 8". I noticed that I took some pictures with the flap tucked into the right pocket. Oops! There is another pocket on the front of the jacket, on the left side of the chest that measures about 6 inches. The jacket is single-breasted with three buttons. The distance between the top and bottom buttons is 11". The sleeves are fully lined; the back of the two front panels is fully lined; the back of the jacket is only lined half way down. There are two inside pockets: the right pocket has the two labels. The chest measures 20" and the shoulders measure 17.5 inches across the back. The sleeve is about 26" on the outside and 21" on the inside. The length from the shoulder to the bottom is about 31". The width across the bottom of the sleeve is 5.5 inches.
