This lot includes a matching pair of 13” tall unsigned Barbini birds, with a dark yellow body and 4” wide clear glass fluted base. Each tail goes to the same side, so when facing each other like the second picture, one tail will be in front and one will be in back. One is 3 lbs. 3 oz. and the other is 3 lbs. 8 oz. One bird looks great, but the second broke off right under the bird. Thankfully, it is broken in a way that is ideal for repair. The broken bird will actually sit on the broken base using only gravity, but obviously that’s unadvisable for long term display. The fourth picture shows the two broken pieces sitting together. Besides the main break, the birds have typical minor scratches. I found one scuff-looking mark on the underside of a tail, but that’s just how it was made.
