Description: This is a fully polished and gem quality piece of Burmite (Burmese) amber that contains a beautifully preserved, rare curled millipede from the Cretaceous Period. This millipede resembles a worm in appearance and would have been on the Earth at the time of the dinosaurs including T-Rex and Triceratops! The piece itself weighs 0.6 grams with approximate dimensions of 1.5 cm length by 1.2 cm width and 0.4 cm height. NOTE: 2.54 cm is 1 inch. Please see my feedback. I have been selling amber fossils for over 15 years on eBay and do not sell fake amber only genuine material from now extinct plant sources not glass or plastic embedded with present day inclusions. Burmese (Burmite) amber is difficult to acquire and has been dated to be Cretaceous in age (around 100 million years old) and would have been sticky resin during the time of the dinosaurs and is being mined in the Hukawng Valley in Myanmar (Burma).
