Description: Offered is a superb pair of Japanese Meiji period Imari scalloped edged porcelain bowls/dishes, dating I estimate to the late 19th century or early 20th century. The interior of the dishes are beautifully free hand painted with boats, pagodas, mountains and clouds. The primary blue and white colors are accented with gold gilding and touches of red and green. The dishes are 6" in diameter and ~1 7/8" in height. The underside is of the dishes is unmarked. The pair is in excellent estate condition with no cracks, chips, hairlines or repairs and will display beautifully. There is some light age-related rubbing to the gilding. Thanks and please let me know if you have questions.
