FAQ? Are these wraps really ok to use with food? ASBOSLUTELY! Safe for food use - all ingredients are natural and non-toxic - per the FDA's guidelines Beeswax was found to be "effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria as well as fungi." - according to NIH Are your wraps soft and easy to use? YOU BET! Jojoba Oil keeps them flexible so the wraps easily conform to the shape of the food or bowl they are covering. Wraps work with the warmth of your hands to take on the shape of the item you're covering. As they naturally cool, they hold that shape, especially when they're in the fridge where the temps stay nice and cool. To unwrap, a little warmth from your hands helps to release the shape again. Reuse over and over! Can you wash them? YES, WITH CARE! Use cool water to clean with a bit of dish soap. We love using the spray kind, so it doesn't add too much soap to the surface. The beeswax covering is hydrophobic which means it doesn't want to hold on to the soap or water. The soap captures tiny food particles and you can rinse it all right off. Got something sticky on there? No worries. You can use a dishcloth or sponge too without any problems. Keep the hot water away though as it will cause the beeswax to crack and breakdown. What happens when they don't hold their shape anymore? YOU HAVE OPTIONS... You can cut them into strips and add them to a compost pile, they are biodegradable. -OR- You can refresh them with a beeswax refresher bar. What makes the Beeswax Bags unique? Beeswax wraps can be folded into the shape of a bag, but it's so helpful to have a bag already made! Beeswax Bags are just the right size to hold a full sandwich without having to press and seal around the bread. They easily hold fruit, like an entire bunch (or two!) of grapes in your fridge. Use them to take snacks in when you're on the go with your kids - to the playground, doctor's office, road trips, etc. How do I store beeswax wraps? Keep them in a basket on the counter, folded in a drawer, in a container in the pantry... wherever you like that keeps them free from dust and dirt. They don't need any special treatment except to stay away from the heat! No microwaves or stoves. What's the time frame for delivery? Wraps are shipped USPS First class which generally takes 2-5 days. If multiple sets are ordered, we may choose to send via UPS depending on speed, cost and destination. If you need special assistance or accommodation, please inquire prior to purchasing. Every effort is made to ship quickly and have your purchase in your hand ASAP. Have more questions? Just ASK. We would be happy to help!
