Bella Sziklay (signed) VTG MCM Italian Coast Hand Watercolor Etching in Frame

Description: Vintage Bela Sziklay (1911-1981) hand-painted watercolor etching of Italian coastline with boats. The etching is signed and has a paper mat that is signed, title of work, and (possibly) number of etchings. This painting is professionally framed, and researching the etching and framing, I am dating this between late 1940s-1950s. There is dust under the glass, on paper mat. It will be best to have painting cleaned. There are some dings to frame. Again, please refer to photos. But overall, the etching is in good condition. Framed etching is approximately 13” by 14” in measurements. Please refer to the photos for reference to details and measurements. Bela Sziklay: A fine Hungarian artist, Bela Sziklay, first studied art in his native Hungary, and at the age of twenty three continued his artistic studies in France. At the end of 1934 Sziklay decided to move to Italy where he spent his career as an artist specializing in etching scenes of landmarks in Venice, Florence, Rome and other locations. According to Luigi Sziklay, his father also created a portrait of Pope Pius 12 and both he and his wife were invited by the Pope to a private audience. Bela Sziklay held many sole exhibitions in Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Montecantini, Venice and elsewhere. This print will be shipped in frame. I am comfortable with shipping artwork. There is a handling fee of $20 dollars added to cost, due to using all new materials in my shipping process. The artwork is sealed, secured between a double layer of foam core with an extra margin, so frame is completely protected. This is sealed again, and bubble wrapped. I custom fit the cardboard box, and double box the edges. This is light in weight, yet secure so that no damage happens to the artwork.
