Description: This is an extremely nice original Bendix Scintilla four-cylinder (or maybe 2-cylinder) base mount magneto for an old car, truck, tractor, or power unit. It has a 4-cylinder cap on it but it appears 2 holes were blocked off at the factory. It's in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It mounts on a 2 inch square pattern and the threads are in great shape. It is counter clockwise rotation and turns nicely with no noticeable bearing wear. It has excellent magnetic pull. The advance/retard moves as it should. It is missing the point assembly but after the addition of a point assembly I see no reason why this magneto wouldn't work as everything looks very nice and clean inside...although I can't guarantee it.
