The BioLite is great! I love the big button in front and easy to change between settings or brightness. And the light on the back is also great. I originally was looking at other brands that could switch out the battery pack with batteries, but the passthrough seems like it will work if I get into a situation where I need longer life. One thing that sets it apart is the fit, I feel like others headlamps are just a big strap and a light. This is very comfortable with how the band is a bit more ridged and padded. I spend a lot of time in the mountains before sunrise and after sunset and I was seriously impressed to see how bright and far the light went on its high setting. I could see my surroundings clear as day! I used it for 3 different long outings and it did not lose its clear stream of light. It is extremely reliable.When I most recently charged it, the charge 20 battery pack biolite uses for it is so light and practically weightless! It did not get in the way of anything else in my pack. And I felt really good using it.I also love how the back of the headlamp has a red light for the commuter. As the nights get darker and I ride my bike home I feel really safe having more light on me for on coming traffic to see.I recommend this product to anyone that uses headlamps. My wife and I recently got into trail running. As the seasons transition into fall here in the Tetons, I was looking for a headlamp for night time trail runs that was rechargeable. The 800 Pro lights up the trail like daylight! It’s snug, comfortable fit stays in position while running. With 5 different settings, there are great light options for house projects, recreation, and work. It charges via a USB cable while I work during the day and comes out to split firewood, grill, and get the camp fire going in the evenings. One of my favorite features is the Red Rear Light.
