When looking at the Front palm print the pad widens to the outside edge. Bears have a Heel pad on the front foot that sometimes shows (these prints do not show front print heel pad ). Black Bear nail tracks are shorter than the length of the toe pad. The toes pads usually appear spread out and on a marked arc line across the front of the print. If you draw a line from the bottom of the big (outside) toe across the front edge of the palm pad mark…the small (inside) toe will fall below the resulting line.
