Description: This is an exquisite sterling silver lidded and cut crystal powder box from Black Starr & Frost manufactured sometime between 1874-1908. The sterling mark and Black Starr and Frost mark are imprinted in small print on the side of the lid seen under magnification. There is one small dent above the maker marks but I cannot find any other dents on the lid. There is a picture under a clear cover that indicates a style closer to 1874 than 1908. There are initials imprinted on the under side of the lid that look to be "AT" in very fine scroll-type writing. The cut crystal bowl is in excellent condition. I can find no cuts, cracks or other visible defects. Under magnification one of the fans appears to have a small defect on the edge of the fan, but I had to find it under a magnifying glass. No visible-to-the eye defects. It is approximately 4" by 4" in size. I ship Priority Mail for fast shipping and package with extreme care. Thanks for looking!
