I USE THE FOLLOWING GRADES FOR COVERS: NM: Near perfect with no visible signs of handling EX: Looks almost perfect, but may have a couple of imperfections after closer inspection. May have a small saw cut, punch hole or cut corner. VG+: Typically has a few imperfections such as slight creasing or slight ring wear, or slight wear from storage. Very slight seam wear or splits in the spine. May have saw cut, punch hole or corner cut. VG: More pronounces wear than VG+. Perhaps several scuffs, scratches on the cover and more prominent spine wear and/or ring wear. Might have noticeable staining, saw cut, punch hole, or cut. G+(VG-): Similar to VG, but may have one or more significant flaws such as heavy spine splitting or heavy staining, scuffing, etc. Might have saw cut, punch hole, or corner cut. G: Heavy wear, marks, scratches, staining, spine damage.
