Description: 9 1/2 inch Plate in the hard to find Violets pattern on the colonial mold From Blue Ridge Southern Potteries, this pottery plate was hand painted in Tennessee in the 1940s and has the script mark. Delightful violets pattern with a pink sponge effect rim, the diameter is 9 1/2” There are no chips, cracks or crazing found. Above the center purple flower to the left there is a tiny dot defect in the glaze with some very light browning. This fault is very small. On the back they are some of the typical pottery faults common in pottery from this maker and the era, including some stray paint marks under the glaze. All issues are shown in the photos.
