Description: VERY RARE ANTIQUE OLD WESTERN AMERICAN BURTONS BRAND, CALIFORNIA, HAND ENGRAVED STERLING SILVER RANGER STYLE MONOGRAM PLATE BELT BUCKLE This old western sterling silver buckle looks similar to a Srour or McCabe brand, but it was hallmarked with “BURTONS, L C, CALIF, STERLING”, as our photos show. It might have been produced by one of the famous makers we mentioned for a saddle/tack retailer and stamped with the retailers brand name…….just a guess. We would appreciate input from anyone who knows more about the “BURTONS” hallmark. The buckle measures 1 3/4” x 1 1/2”, has an opening to take belt straps up to 5/8” wide and weighs about (a little less than) one ounce. The condition is very good true vintage. It has a blank diamond shaped monogram plate and a naturally aged patina. We will ship the buckle USPS first class package carefully wrapped with insurance and signature confirmation of delivery.
