It is from a circa 1840 edition of Dr. Samuel Butler's Atlas of Modern Geography, (London: Longman & Co., circa 1840). It is drawn and engraved by Sydney Hall whose name appears in the bottom right margin. The publisher's address is in the bottom center. A copy of the title page is included for authenticity. It is not matted nor framed being sold as a single sheet as shown in the main pic. Overall, it has a rich patina with an aged quality. Size: The map image measures approximately 7 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches (19x24cm) on a 8 1/2 by 11" page (22x28cm) with a margin all around for framing. Condition: The map is in Fair to Good condition with overall tonal aging and original hand color as issued, printed on heavy paper and blank on the reverse. It is basically as seen in the pics. There is general wear and handling, a nick off the top left corner, and some darkening in the margin, see the pic for more on condition. Pics are of the actual map.
