Description: This week I'm offering a variety of cards from non-sport sets of the Fifties and Sixties, and earlier. Circa 1910, the same group of tobacco companies that issued the legendary T206 set of baseball players issued an interesting series of non-sport sets, including featuring portraits of beautiful and colorful birds. The set known as T43 set consists of 30 different cards depicting birds, adorned with a "fancy" gold border. Up in Canada, the Imperial Tobacco Company "borrowed" the artwork from the T43 set, and issued a parallel version that's been catalogued as C14 in the collecting references. These colorful cards feature beautiful portraits on the front and informative text on the back. I have a lot of 9 different cards (plus one duplicate) from this set. It's a low-grade lot condition-wise (see scans), but it's a good start on the set. These cards have remained popular with collectors to the present day. All in all, not bad for cards that are over 100 years old! This would be a terrific addition to any collection! Shipping is $2.60 for First Class Mail, and I'll combine and discount shipping costs for multiple winnings. Payment is via PayPal only. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
