Description: Presented is a wonderful set of 10 early American coin silver spoons. These spoons were likely made by Salem silversmith Stephen Emery, and date to around the 1780s-1790s. The spoons are made in a classical form, with a downward turn to the tips of the handles and a pip on the back. Each spoon is monogrammed MRP in elegant script. This is a rare old set, particularly for being such a complete set, and would be a great addition to any silver collection. This set is in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. Each spoon is stamped with a maker's mark of SE, likely for Salem, MA silversmith Stephen Emery. Each spoon is about 5 3/8 inches long. The total weight for the set is 177 grams or 6.2 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
