Description: Antique 1820's English Regency Men's Fitted Travel Toiletry Chest. Constructed with Rosewood Veneer over a wood core with campaign style brass mounts. The lid has a brass cartouche and a shield brass escutcheon. The interior is divided into seven (7) mahogany compartments, many lined with the original foil. The compartments still contain shaving soap, shaving brush, toothbrush, and a combination mustache brush/nail file/tooth pick. A red leather lift-out shelf contains 2 straight razors, scissors, screwdriver, and razor sharpening belt. The lid holds a mirror bordered with green fabric.The rectangular chest measures 8 1/4” long by 5 3/4” wide by 2 3/4” tall. The original key comes with this box and the lock, latch and hinges are in good working condition. The box is in very good original condition. Please view the images for additional information.
