Description: circa 1840 school masters desk from Maine. I bought this for my daughters room - and sadly I have to move it out as our blended family gets a little bigger.The mustard grain paint is magnificent!!!The slant top has an old split in the wood - please see pictures. The surface has nice old wear. The inside is Blanche white - and in good clean condition. Very sturdy - wonderful old construction - simple lines on the legs.Desk is 32" wide X 23" deep. Height in back is 35.5" - slopes to a height of 31" at the front.I believe this to be pine.Great wonderful old New England antique - hoping it finds a new home that likes it as much as we did.Can be picked up in the Hartford CT region or delivered for $300-350 depending on region.
