Description: Card of 20 antique clothing buttons that were mainly produced in the early 1900s. These picture buttons are all made from brass -- or other metals -- many with tin backs. All of them have brass, pewter or steel embellishments -- plus half have wooden backgrounds behind the OMEs. There are a variety of subjects depicted, including: angels, coat of arms, animal life, people, architectural, plants, Egyptian, Oriental, and more. Most of these are Large-sized buttons, there are also at least 2 mediums. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact button sizes and the card. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The buttons may have some tarnishing or light surface wear -- but I have noticed no breaks, dents, or other more serious flaws. The group is overall in nice shape and they will display very well. See attached photos for more detail on the condition. ***************************************** PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT an expert on vintage buttons. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She downsized her collection before passing away in 2020, so I have been helping her sell some of her treasures. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting. I try to use various notes she left with the buttons to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, are not terms I am familiar or experienced with. So please use the attached images to form your own opinions. I am also not knowledgeable on the hobby criteria in condition grading -- so I use my condition grades in a commonsense manner -- as if grading any collectible -- they are not based on any hobby standards.
