Description: Card of 42 antique clothing buttons -- all are made of black glass. These were mainly produced during the 1800s. This card features a nice variety of black glass buttons, including: pictorials, impressed, intaglio, framed, lusters, painted, lacy glass, open-work, enamel, realistic, whistle, coronet, plus a cloth OME. These are mostly small sized, with maybe a few mediums. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The buttons may have have light surface wear or tiny dings along the edges -- but I have noticed no cracks, larger chips, or other more serious flaws. The buttons are overall in very nice shape and they will display quite well. See attached photos for more detail on the condition. ***************************************** PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT an expert on vintage buttons. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She downsized her collection before passing away in 2020, so I have been helping her sell some of her treasures. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting. I try to use various notes she left with the buttons to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, are not terms I am familiar or experienced with.
