Description: Cased 1/6 Plate Tintype of an Infantry Private in FROCK COAT & CAP This gutta percha cased portrait shows a studio, seated soldier dressed in his frock and cap. The hinges and the closing tab have a tiny bit of play in them so the case doesn't snap closed/hold as it should. There is no ID for this person. Black and white color (hand-tinted face). Gutta Percha case has a nicely ornate design on both sides. Fine condition; the closing tab needs to be adjusted to hold it closed, we'll leave that to the buyer to fiddle with.
