Absolutely gorgeous, elegant black pearl, black and cream pearl color theme glass beaded, Day of the Dead, Catrina Bride clay sculpture figurine. Using the traditional Huichol techniques of pressing Campeche wax onto this sculpture and adding glass beads, one-by-one, this Day of the Dead La Calavera Catrina bride depicts the offering message to the Huichol Gods. Dressed in a gorgeous long sleeve bridal gown, with pearl color beaded accents, this Catrina portrays a traditional and elegant pose. Her sophisticated style gown has a high neck with a cream pearl color beaded rain symbol necklace. Her bodice is made of cream pearl color Peyote flowers with black pearl color outlines. Her sleeves have two large corn symbols for prosperity and good crops to feed her family. At the bottom, a scorpion protects the Peyote as messages are received from the Gods and on her back, a Prayer Arrow is shooting into the air to start the ceremony. Her stunning train has a large cream pearl color Peyote flower and a coiled snake, the Rain Goddess, that protects the fields from pests. On the edges, cream color Peyote flowers add brilliant accents. Her up-do hair, in 1920's clouche headdress style, has 5 pearl colored cream and black Peyote flowers. Her head is detachable and can move from side to side for different poses. We love her hand painted face with neon pink eyeshadow and Day of the Dead facial features. She is carrying a large 3D sculpted Peyote flower bouquet with 3D draped ribbons of cream pearl color beads. Each flower petal is a Peyote flower and the cream pearl colored leaves are 3D. The symbols used on her gown and veil make her seem as if she is preparing for her special day in a most elegant way. Gorgeous bride. See the matching groom in our ebay store.
