Description: On December 7, 1954 Central Airlines expanded service on Air Mail Route 81 by inaugurating Segment 6 from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Little Rock, Arkansas, via Muskogee, Fayetteville, Fort Smith and Hot Springs.This cover was carried on the inaugural Air Mail Route 81 flight from Joplin, Missouri to Kansas City, Missouri (where it was backstamped) and is listed in the Contract Air Mail Flights (CAM) Section of The American Air Mail Catalogue as 81N56.Effective October 1, 1967, Central Airlines and Frontier Airlines were merged with Frontier Airlines being the survivor company.
