There is a natural nubbiness to the fabric - this is how it was designed. There may be some minor pilling if you look close? But the jacket really is very textured so it likely came like this! There is some tarnishing to the buttons, but it is hard to notice. All buttons intact. There is some stretch to the fabric which is amazing.
