These books are LAVISHLY illustrated and any of the hundreds of illustrated plates are individually worthy of framing, should the new owner so choose! Internally, both books are clean with bright white pages and writing or markings! Externally, volume 1 has a 4" tear along the spine and there are scuffs, scratches, and bumps on both volumes! Each book has gold gilding along all three edges! Each book in measures 12" x 10" x 1.75 and together they weigh 13 pounds! The books will be securely packaged and shipped to ensure they arrive in the same condition you see in the photos! This book was part of an incredible estate sale of a home in the Midwest that was built at the end of the Civil War. The home's library contained HUNDREDS of rare and collectible antiquarian books that I will be listing over the next several months.
