Description: Children's Playmate Magazine (Review Publishing Co., Inc.) – The issues cover various months/periods between 1969 to 1976. Most issues are in about Very Good condition, with a few in lesser condition, and a few a bit better. Each one is characterized by having cream-colored pages with covers that still have decent coloring. Each has a mailing labels, which has been retouched in the scans to eliminate the subscriber's name/address. Other notables for each issue are included below. Please see the scans, too, for more details. November 1969 (V. 41, #5) - This Thanksgiving issue is in readable condition. The front cover has wear and color loss at the spine, along with an approx. 3" crease near the bottom, there are hole punches at the top and bottom right-hand side, the top right-hand corner has an approx. 1" crease, the bottom right-hand corner has multiple creases - the biggest approx. 1"; the back cover bottom left-hand corner has two creases - the outermost one approx. 1 1/4" (which extends into the internal pages), the spine has about a handful of creases - the biggest approx. 3/4". February 1970 (V. 41, #8) - This Valentine’s Day issue is in about Very Good/Very Good+ condition. The front cover top right-hand corner has an approx. 1/2" crease, the spine has some stress lines - the biggest approx. 1/2", the bottom left-hand corner has an approx. 1/16" indent/tear; the back cover has an approx. 1/8" crease at the top left-hand corner, the spine has some stress creases - the biggest approx. 1/4"; "2-" is written in pencil on the index page. August - September 1970 (V. 42, #3) - This issue is in about Very Good/Very Good+ condition. The front cover top right-hand corner has paper loss above the "E", the spine has some stress creases - the biggest approx. 1/2" near the boy's arm, the bottom right-hand corner has an approx. 1/8" crease; the back cover top left-hand corner has an approx. 1 1/2" crease, the top and bottom right-hand corners have approx. 1/4" creases, the spine has some creases - the biggest approx. 3/4" near the "Y", there is an approx. 2 1/2" crease starting at "fun you" and extending down to the bottom left-hand edge; "2-" is written in pencil on the index page. December 1970 (V. 42, #6) - This Christmas issue is in readable condition but missing pages 15-16 and pages 14-15 are detached. The front cover has several spine stress creases, the top right- and bottom left-hand corners have approx. 1/4" creases; the back cover has spine creases. March 1971 (V. 42, #9) - This issue is in about Very Good+ condition. The front cover top left-hand corner has an approx. 1/16" crease/indent, the top right- and bottom left-hand corners have approx. 1/8" creases, the spine has a few creases; the back cover top right-hand corner ha an approx. 1/8" crease/indent; "1-" is written in pencil on the index page. May 1971 (V. 43, #1) - This issue is in about Very Good- condition. The front cover top left-hand corner has an approx. 3/4" tear, the spine has some stress creases - the biggest approx. 1/2"; the top right-hand corner has an approx. 1/4" crease, the bottom right-hand corner has an approx. 1/2" crease, there are some scratches above the bird's left wing; the back cover has a water stain at the top staple (which extends slightly in the inside front and back pages), the bottom left-hand corner has an approx. 1/4" crease. October 1971 (V. 43, #4) - This Halloween issue is in about Very Good condition. The front cover has about a handful of stress creases - the biggest approx. 3/4" above the witch's hand, all corners have wear and rounding, there are some indents at the top right-hand side under "Magazine"; the inside covers have browning edges; the back cover has some spine stress creases - the biggest approx. 3/4" near "Packs", the bottom right-hand corner has a water stain; "2-" is written in pencil on the index page. December 1971 (V. 43, #6) - This Christmas issue is in about Very Good+ condition. January 1972 (V. 43, #7) - This issue is in about Very Good/Very Good+ condition. The front cover has a few spine stress creases - the biggest approx. 3/4" near the girl's hat, the top right-hand corner has an approx. 1/2" crease, the bottom left-hand corner has an approx. 1/8" indent/crease; the back cover has a few stress creases - the biggest approx. 1/2" near "Playmates", "2-" is written at the top right-hand corner on the index page. October 1972 (V. 44, #4) - This Halloween issue is in about Very Good+ condition. The front cover spine has a few stress creases - the biggest approx. 1/2" near the shutter, the top right-hand corner has an approx. 1/16" crease, there are some scratches in Frankenstein's face; the back cover top right-hand corner has an approx. 1/4" crease/indent; the bottom edge has a dust shadow, the spine has some stress creases - the biggest approx. 1/4" near the bottom; "2-" is written in pencil on the index page; the Halloween Costume" connect-the-numbers puzzle on page 37 has been completed. June/July 1973 (V. 45, #2) - This Summer issue is in about Very Good/Very Good+ condition. The front cover spine has some color loss and a few stress creases - the biggest approx. 1/4" near the center of the easel, the bottom left- and right-hand corners have approx. 1/8" creases; the back cover has some spine creases - the biggest approx. 1/4" near the "First Class" box; "2-" is written in pencil on the index page.
