Description: CHRISTOPHER WARD C60 ABYSSIntroduction Christopher Ward first dipped their toe into the stealth watch water in Jan 2016 with the launch of the Mk2 C60 Titanium Version 1. It was retired in 2019 with the arrival of the C60 Mk3, but I guess the sales were decent because CW included their first ever ‘Abyss’ model in their 2019 range. Its dial is finished in a matte black, complemented by a brushed ceramic bezel; its 'light-catcher' case (a somewhat ironic choice of name here) is brushed gunmetal, while its deep-stamped trident case back has a black PVD coating. Lume is present - in this version, black Super-LumiNova that will emit a blue glow in the dark - and has been applied to the Abyss's hands, gunmetal indices, twin flags at 12 o'clock and bezel markings. To add highlight and contrast the seconds hand, complete with the signature Trident counter-balance, is finished in red, along with an inverted triangle on the bezel and the red text denoting the watch's 600m/2000ft water resistance.Warranty The watch for sale here was sold by CW in February 2020, so the transferable CW manufacturer’s movement warranty is valid to February 2025.Strap options It comes on a lightly used black and red excellent CW hybrid strap that matches it perfectly, including the DLC buckle. Other options: Exchange for a lightly used CW gun metal bracelet that was fitted to these models (extra £120); Exchange for a brand new black hybrid (extra £10); Head only (discount of £30)Condition It’s in fabulous condition - very infrequently worn as part of a large collection. On the timegrapher it’s registering perfect time at ± 0sec per day - comfortably inside the +/-20sec specified by CW. It comes in the original CW bamboo case including warranty booklet and card, polishing clothing and user manual.
