Description: 7 Woods Burslem England Hyde Dessert Plates Transfer Ware 7 in diameter 2 plates are in very good condition with no faults noted. 5 have some discoloration on the underside. 2 have chips along the rim on the underside. These 5 all look good on the face side. Made about 1784 - "By 1783 Enoch was established in Burslem as an independent potter in partnership with his cousin Ralph Wood, and in 1790 he entered a partnership with James Caldwell, when the style of the firm became Wood & Caldwell."
