Description: Wow, what a terrific framed book plate! The book plate is by Maxfield Parrish and is titled, “Villa Pliniana Lake Como” and is from the book titled “Italian Villas And Their Gardens”. It came out in about 1925, and it is ready to hang. The frame measures 10 ½ inches by 13 inches while the book plate measures 4 ¾ inches by 7 ¾ inches (the plate measurements are with it still in the frame). The frame, glass and matting are in good shape and it looks like the book plate has a little fading to it, and there is no damage to the book plate. What a great item to decorate with or to give as a gift to any Maxfield Parrish collector! Each item I sell in my shop is unique, and I’m constantly on the hunt for the best vintage items I can find.
