Description: This is a very nice Civil War battlefield recovered oval U.S. Buckle with leather that is in excellent ground dug condition. It is with a smooth chocolate brown face and 99% of the lead filling in the back. The buckle is with arrow hooks and complete with the belt catch. Still attached to the buckle is a 1¾ inch piece of the leather belt which is held tight under the arrow hooks. This is a truly beautiful relic that remains in excellent battlefield found condition.
