Visual effects pioneer Douglas Trumbull I was born in Los Angeles in 1942 after abandon doing architecture for technical drawing in cartooning has talent for photorealism soon earn him work at great graphic films. An esteemed Hollywood studio for which he designed groundbreaking cosmic effects for the 1964 New York’s world fair. After seeing his work Stanley Kubrick hired him to create animations and VFX shots ( including the iconic Stargate sequence- for what would become his Seminole masterpiece 2001 a space Odyssey. From that film success, he became one of the industries most trusted, photographic, affects experts, designing and producing legendary screen moments and search.
