This set is mil surplus and comes with the metal U bracket inside the lower and the reinforcing metal in the cleaning rod slot. It does not come with the metal ferrule for the lower that is necessary for this set to work (You can harvest it off the American furniture or find it other places online for around 5-10 dollars). The upper guards are takeoffs and some might be a little sticky or cosmoline-y but the lowers are all NOS. The plastic grips vary between clean or a little bit of cosmoline.
