Description: Rare and Collectable Compaq LTE Elite 4/75C Series 2850 laptop from the early 90's. It is mostly working. It boots into Windows no problem, keyboard and screen work. Mouse trackball is sometimes a little sticky, may need to be cleaned, but it still works. Buttons work fine. Floppy drive does not work, and plastic part of case above floppy drive will not clip together. I can hear the motor in the floppy drive try to run when a disk is inserted, but it sounds like the motor is not connected to the floppy drive spindle. Laptop includes 2 working hard drives and one broken one. All of them have MS-DOS with Windows 3.1 on them. They can be swapped without taking computer apart. The battery is included, but of course it doesn't work. No battery of this age will work. The original AC power cord is included. Luckily and awesomely, the DC power supply is built into the laptop, and it has an AC socket. The rest of the case is in great shape, except for some faint marker writing on the top and bottom. I did my best to clean it off, but it is still slightly there. Also, the bottom feet have kind of flattened out and gotten a little sticky. Please be aware that vintage hard drives do not do well with being bonked around. While I will pack this nicely, the movement from shipping could cause the working hard drives to stop working. Vintage hard disk drives do not last. But that means it is very cool and rare to have 2 of 3 of them working. Item is sold as is, no returns.
