It effectively filters phosphate to produce crystal clear water, reduces odours, and creates ideal conditions for fish and plants. The polymax / clearmax filter cartridge helps reduce overall aquarium maintenance. These cartridges should be replaced approximately every 4 weeks, each pack contains 2 cartridges. Sold in 3 different sizes for the U2, U3 and U4 filters.Finest Filters Biomax is made to the same specification as the Fluval original Biomax. These biomax rings measure approximately 20mm x 18mm in size. This product is compatible with all Fluval external filters, and external filters from other brands. The very high surface area of this product allows for rapid colonisation and growth of beneficial bacteria. These are essential for breaking down ammonia and nitrite and are essential for good water quality in your aquarium. This filter media can be used in both freshwater and marine aquariums.Regular replacement of the filter pads in your filter will ensure that your filter is running at its best.Please refer to the images when selecting the filter options from the drop down menu. If ordering the sets with biomax, 1 x 170g bag will be supplied with the 4 foam and 4 polymax set. 2 x 170g bags will be supplied with the 8 foam and 8 polymax set. 3 x 170g bags will be supplied with the 12 foam and 12 polymax set.
