Sold as Maxell Twinkle in Japan and Colour in England. On Twinkle discs, it's the discs themselves (and not the shells) that come in multiple colors. Maxell made these in 5 different series over these years; these are the notorious 2nd series, which feature a crystal clear front shell, a frosted rear shell, and a WHITE PLASTIC SHUTTER with printing to match the color of the disc. Maxell's decision to make the shutters out of white plastic proved to be a bad one, because THE SHUTTERS ARE KNOWN TO WARP AND CRUMBLE and were apparently the cause of some equipment failures when discs got jammed inside machines. The shutters on all of these discs appear to be in good shape with no noticeable warping or crumbling, but consider yourself warned. I would recommend admiring these discs for their beauty rather than shoving them into your expensive vintage MD equipment. The slipcases are clear rigid plastic. Discs and cases both show some scuffs, light scratches, and wear. Please look closely at the scans/pictures and let me know if you'd like more pictures.These discs were part of a huge batch that imported from Japan. We've removed all stickers from the discs and the cases.The discs will contain their original music from Japan -- usually pop songs from around 2000 -- because recorded media qualifies for Media Mail rates and blank media technically doesn't.
