Completed Simplicity Crewel BEARLY SISTERS Victorian Bears

Description: Up for sale is a completed and handcrafted crewel picture. It is a colorart print on fabric which is then embellished with stitchery. It is a charming picture of of a group of bears dressed in their Victorian attire. It is just adorable. It is from the JCA Simplicity Collection and based on a design by Paulette Monahan. The item is a model from kit #05042. The picture is printed in full color on fabric and then embellished with wool crewel stitches. There is crewel stitches are on the 2 of the hats and there are stitches outlining a bow on one of the bears. Each of the bears also have stitches enhancing some of their clothing. There was plastic protecting this embroidery which was removed to take the photos. Also there was a sticker indicating that this was the original model standard which was done in 1987. This model has been in storage by the manufacturer for all these years. The embroidery is attached to plywood backing. There is a burgundy piping around the outside of the design which really finishes the piece. All you need is some type of hardware to add to the back and you are ready to hang this lovely embroidery. This is in perfect condition. Included in the listing is a picture of this kit which is shown for reference as this embroidery does not come with a kit. This picture was a hand crafted model to a needlepoint kit which was used to take a photo that went on to the kit packaging. I was able to acquire many of these models and samples. See other listings. I learned recently that the name on many of these finished pieces identified the company as JCA Inc. with an address in Massachusettes. They evidently ceased operations and will not be making/distributing anymore needlecraft kits. These finished piece from kits are already hard to find and will only be offered occasionally perhaps on the internet. Per the JCA website: "Due to the death of our owner, Alan S.
