Description: Corgi Aviation: World War 2 'Blitz' Boxed Set of 3 Aircraft 1940, in 1:72 scale. New, MIB.Model Number AA99127.Mint Box Set content, as pictured.Box set contents are as follows:1. Heinkel HE-111 H3, in markings of Luftwaffe 2 Staffel KG100, 1940. Model features opening bomb bay doors revealing full bomb load, traversing rear gun mounting, rotating propellers and main wheels, together with all accessories for optional landing gear settings. Stand components included, and all is as pictured from multiple angles.2. Messerschmitt ME 109E, in markings of Luftwaffe JG51, as piloted by Heinz Bar, 1940. Model features decorative fuselage markings, rotating propeller, removable cowling to reveal Daimler-Benz engine, all accessories for optional landing gear settings in sealed pouch, and stand components, still factory wrapped, all as pictured from several angles. 3. Supermarine Spitfire Mk1, in markings of 611 Squadron, as piloted by Pilot Officer Pegge, RAF Rochford, 1940. Model features fuselage markings, rotating propeller, removable cowling to reveal Merlin 24 cylinder engine, and as with above, all accessories for optional landing gear settings in sealed pouch, and stand components, still factory wrapped, all as pictured from several angles. Box set is a 'one off' production, issued 2003, and comes with Corgi Aviation Archive advertising catalogue featuring the set, again as pictured. All three boxed set contents are in mint, excellent and new condition and appearance, bought to collect. Multiple pictures from many angles of all aircraft models comprising the set are provided, for prospective buyers to determine the condition of these examples. Box set comes complete with mint Limited Edition Certificate Number 1002 of just 2700 issued and distributed, also as pictured. A popular box set when issued, and often appears on eBay: this one, as described and as pictured, features mint brand new models, still with wrapping tissue paper, since release. Models have seen the light of day for photographing for this listing.Glossy colourfully illustrated outer boxing in generally VGC with internal polystyrene packaging. There is some minor storage edge wear to the box cover lid, and to the base as pictured: unavoidable, since box has been stored for several years as part of my extensive collection.
