Description: Crusader VDrive transmission 4500 Series 1.77:1 Ratio is in great used running Take-out condition ( the boat had structural issues). Fresh water lake use no corrosion. One of the nicest units I've seen! Crusader was a subsidiary of Thermo Electron Corporation which produced Crusader engines and these 4500 Series V-DRIVES. Primarily used in Gibson Houseboats, these boats are very hard to maneuver on only one screw. These V-Drives are VERY hard to find. If you have a Gibson Houseboat with one of These units you sould really consider having a spare. It's hard to sell this boat with a bad v-druve because they are so scarce. This is usually connected to a 1:1 Velvet Drive with a short drive shaft ( I can supply a new drive shaft if needed.) The V-Drive 4500 Series 1.77:1 Ratio was the predominant ratio used on these houseboats. Free shipping in the lower 48.
