Description: Here you have a rare piece of RAILROAD MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCAN. This is a pair of original 1971 press promo photos showing the newly opened CUMBRES and TOLTEC SCENIC RAILROAD. Both of these have an attached press release/ information sheet. One image is of LOCOMOTIVE NUMBER 483 and the other shows the tallest bridge on the run: CASCADE CREEK TRESTLE. These photos were published before the first scheduled public run on July 3, 1971 between Antonito, Colorado and Chama, New Mexico... This material came from the archives of the EUGENE REGISTER-GUARD newspaper. One of their photographers back in the day had the habit of bringing home the promo photos and packets the paper received and put them in a box--where this has been for 50+ years! When is the last time you saw a pair of these? This glossy photos measure 8 X 10 and are in fine condition! When is the last time you saw one of these? Take it home with you. GOOD LUCK! Please Check Out My Ebay Store for more great memorabilia! I am happy to send this to any country. 1st class international air postage will be charged. More excellent packaging and free shipping here in the United States! 120422
