Description: A supernatural twist on classic stealth games, Dark puts players in charge of the recently turned vampire Eric Bane as he heads off to discover why he was bitten, and figure out a way to become human again. Standing in his way are dozens of security guards, soldiers from the vampire-hunting agency M17, and supernatural creatures like acid-spitting ghouls. Instead of employing weapons and gadgets, Dark makes gamers use Bane's budding vampire skills, such as the abilities to go invisible, teleport, and sharpen his vision as he avoids detection and silently stalks foes. Bane drinks blood to acquire vitae, and the experience points gamers earn as they make their way through each level can be used to upgrade their vampire skills, which in turn cost vitae to use. Players can find plot-illuminating collectibles and emails as they make their way through a variety of levels, including a museum built over an ancient castle and a massive garden growing at the top of a skyscraper, while expository cutscenes provide more information on each stage. The Sanctuary nightclub serves as a hub in between missions, where gamers can have branching conversations with other characters, and speak to Rose, a fellow vampire who provides information and technical support.
