Description: I believe this is a watercolor by well listed United Kingdom artist David Cox The Elder 1783-1859. It was found this way in a newer ugly frame, so tossed it and took photos. The window in the mat measures 6 3/4” x 10”, signedand dated 1845 in the lower right corner. There a couple of men talking, with the image of a castle in the background.The heavy paper is torn on the edges, and appears to be in good condition. SR
