Description: Overall in good used condition with some of the coating coming off around the edges and on the bottom where it makes contact with surfaces, as well as on the inside in a couple places. Overall it looks nice but absolutely shows some signs of age and use. The finish looks like cast iron, however it is some sort of coating and not cast iron. I have tested the material with a strong magnet, and the box is not magnetic. Under the coating, this box is brass. With the box and lid, it weighs exactly 1 pound 13.3 ounces. From beak to tail on the lid, it measures just about 5 1/2" across, and about 3 3/4" wide. The box part measures 4 7/8" long and 4 1/4" wide, and roughly an inch tall not counting the lid.
