Description: This cover is molded to the exact shape of your vehicle's dashboard defrost dash panel, and mounts right over the top of your cracked up dash section to cover cracks and holes. The cover requires no special tools to install, and mounts using silicone adhesive (included). This DashSkin covers the frontmost (defrost) dash section only, and does not cover larger dash section. If you have cracks you will be covering, we advise cleaning your original dashboard well with degreaser, and bracing any cracks using some of the included silicone adhesive. If you have lots of cracks or large holes, you can add a second tube of adhesive to use for reinforcement/strengthening by clicking add to cart it in the related products below (also found in the EXTRAS section of our site). This dash cover fits ALL 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche and GMC Yukon/Yukon XL vehicles, as well as 07-2014 Cadillac Escalade (all versions). HOW TO HELP STOP ANNOYING RATTLES: If your dash is rattling or sqeaking, using EXTRA silicone adhesive in all of the cracks can help make a huge difference! Apply the first tube of silicone that is included with the cover to the underside of the skin just like the instructions specify, then use your extra adhesive (purchased at any hardware store, 100% silicone RTV adhesive) to apply directly to the dash itself to fill all cracks with a thick bead of silicone, and outline any holes (if you have holes) with the silicone just before installing the cover. We don't recommend allowing this to cure first, apply the skin while all of silicone on the cracks is still wet so the cracks bond to the underside of the skin, this way the cover can help hold everything still like a membrane of support. If you have rattles coming from underneath the dash, obviously this surface treatment will not help stop those noises, but for the vast majority of our local installs, this little trick works extremely well! NOTE: If the clips under your defrost dash panel (nearest the windshield) are broken, be sure to consider applying some silicone to the broken clips as well to hold that piece still, this can be a hidden source of rattles as well. If you do not use the center channel speaker, it is advised to either support it from underneath somehow or remove it entirely, because the bouncing weight of the speaker over time destroys the center of the dash. While this is normally a luxury feature, it is nothing but trouble in the center of a brittle dash that is famous for crumbling and falling apart.
