DELINIERES D&C LIMOGE FRANCE EIGHT DINNER PLATES 1887-1915

Description: ANTIQUE DELENIERES LIMOGE EIGHT DINNER PLATES - Purchased set of antique dishes at an estate sale. These had always been in one family. The original family owner had them brought to to her by mule from Mexico to her Texas home. Shipped from New York. They were a wedding present for her.Higgins & Seiter was a New York business from 1887 to February 1915 that sold quality porcelain.D & C stands for Delinieres & Cie which operated in Limoges, France. All of the dishes in the set are marvelous antiques. Each of the dishes will be described as they are listed. It will take a while to list them all, since I do have other items to list also, but if you are interested in knowing if I have a particular item, please ask. This listing is for eight dinner plates in almost perfect condition. Have not seen any chips or cracks or crazing. They are 10" across with the lovely flowers in areas of the plate, both rim and center. I believe they are hand painted, as at the time of manufacture, most decoration was. The gold on the edge is almost entirely intact and edges the embossing near the edge. Just found a tiny chip on the back edge of a plate. Less than 1/16" into the gold. Have to look to find it and it is definitely not sharp as I do run my hands around every edge If seriously interested in the entire set, please contact me. The set includes 8 dinner and 8 salad plates, relish dishes, tureens (2 sizes) dessert plates, tiny 3" plates for serving a chocolate or other tiny item, sauce bowls, dessert plates, cups, small flat serving platter or plate, soup bowls and serving bowl.
