Description: Ultra-rare first American 1947 release poster for this French World War I melodrama directed by Claude Autant-Lara, with illustration arguably that of artist Jean Cocteau (who was lover of the director at the time). I've refrained from handling it any more than necessary because I'm kind of a clumsy oaf (hence the funky fold that poster was in when I got hold of it).
