Description: PLEASE NOTE : I recently purchased a good un-restored 1947 Diamond T Model 201 pickup and it came with a lot of extra parts which I will be listing here as soon as time permits me to do so. I have extra front fenders that can be converted to fit the factory Diamond T pickup box, grille shells, grille inserts, seat lower pan, seat & backrest cushions, 16" rims with tires, one long left hand running board for use with the factory pickup bed, cowl with instruments, doors with rust in the bottom and most of an extra engine that I plan to list here soon so please watch my listings if you need any of the above mentioned parts. This left hand or driver's side running board is one of those extra parts that I do not need so I have listed it here. I need a right hand or passenger's side running board for my Model 201 pickup so any help in locating one would be greatly appreciated. Soon after I find that right hand running board, I plan to list that 1947 Diamnd T Model 201 pickup here for sale. This running board is the shorter version as used on a Model 201 pickup without the factory pickup box. A good sheet metal man could extend this running board if you need the longer version for use with the factory pickup box. I now believe that this short running board is also used on the larger Model 306 truck. I also believe that this running board is a few inches shorter that the one used on the Models 404 and 509 that have a cab that is a few inches longer behind the door than the shorter cabs used on the Models 201 and 306. It would not be too hard to extend this running board if you need a longer one for a Model 404 or 509 truck. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong on the exact application of this scarce part that all too often is missing, damaged beyond repair or severely rusted out. I understand there are reproduction running boards available but they are missing one very important detail. They do not have the recessed area around where the several rubber strips fasten. This running board is rusted out above the rear reinforcing channel as you can see in a couple of the photos. Both the front and rear reinforcing channels on the bottom side are rusted through. I believe it would be best to remove these damaged channels and make complete new ones to replace them. This board is rough in places that can be repaired and is of great value to serious restorers for the very solid recessed areas around where the rubber strips attach.
